The proposed development will bring a number of benefits both during construction and operational phases of the scheme, and once the homes are completed. These include:

economic

  • Employment opportunities created during the construction phase and support of the local supply chain;

  • Increased spending power in the local shops thereby ensuring the continued vitality of local shops, services and public transport;

  • Contributions towards local infrastructure and community facilities. Bassetlaw District Conucil has introduced a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) to help with the delivery of necessary infrastructure, such as schools, doctors surgeries, highway improvements and more. Financial contributions will be made via the CIL system to help ensure the council receives required funding for these local services;
